Is there a fee when I make a top-up to my Dash account?

From 18 August 2022, a fee of S$1 will be charged for each credit or debit card top-up. This applies to all top-up transactions, including auto top-ups. From 11 October 2022, a S$0.50 fee applies for all top-ups made at 7-Eleven, Sheng Siong $TM and SOCASH outlets.
You can top up at the following channels without incurring any convenience fee:

The top-up limit is imposed by the service provider.

Can I top up more than S$500 at 7-Eleven?

Yes, you may top up more than S$500 at 7-Eleven. However, the maximum amount per transaction is S$500 and S$0.50 fee applies for each transaction. Alternatively, you may consider other top-up channels with higher top-up limits.

Can I get a refund for the top-up fee?

No, all top-up fees are non refundable.

Where can I find my transaction records for top-up fees?

If a 'convenience fee' is applicable to the selected top-up channels, it will be reflected in your transaction history.

How do I pay for the credit/debit card top-up fee?

The convenience fee of S$1 will be added to the total amount that you wish to top up. For example, if you wish to top up S$100, the total payable will be S$101.

When were these credit/debit card and 7-Eleven/Sheng Siong $TM outlets top-up fee charges informed to customers?

Customers are informed of these convenience charges since 19 July 2022 via a variety of channels. They include the Dash top-up page/ inapp push/ email/ SMS.

Why is a fee charged for top-ups using credit/debit card or at 7-Eleven/ Sheng Siong $TM/ Singtel Prepaid retailers outlets?

The fee will go towards offsetting the top-up cost imposed by the providers and enhancing your Dash app experience.

How do I pay for the 7-Eleven, Sheng Siong $TM, Singtel Prepaid retailer and top-up fee?

The S$0.50 fee will be deducted from top-up amount. For example, if you top up S$100, you will receive S$99.50. Your transaction history will show S$100 Dash Top-Up and a deduction of S$0.50 Convenience Fee.

What can I do when I transferred to the wrong PayNow VPA?

You may wish to extract the mobile number from the incorrect PayNow VPA and contact the person who has received the money.

Dash will not be able to perform a transfer reversal.

How can I top up the Dash app?

There are several ways to top up your Dash wallet. To find out how, visit https://dash.com.sg/topup.

How do I top up my Dash wallet using PayNow QR?

On the Dash homepage, go to 'Top Up' and select 'Scan & Pay'. You will see a PayNow QR generated. You now can either scan this QR from your preferred mobile banking app or simply save the QR and upload it into your preferred mobile banking app.

How do I know that I am topping up my Dash wallet and not someone else’s Dash wallet?

When you either scan from or upload your PayNow QR into your preferred mobile bank app, the 'Bill Reference' or 'Description' field would state DASH65. If this is not the mobile phone number registered to your Dash account, contains any other information or empty, please do not proceed to top up. Please also do not edit this field as it may result in your Dash wallet not being topped up.

Can I top up somebody else’s Dash wallet using their PayNow QR?

Yes you can. However please ensure that you see the other person's mobile phone number being reflected in the 'Bill Reference' or 'Description' field in the following format DASH65.

I have performed the top up by scanning my PayNow QR using my bank app but I did not receive money into my Dash wallet, why?

It is very likely that the information in the 'Bill Reference' or 'Description' field was incorrect. If this is the case, you will be refunded the amount within 60 days from the day of the original top up being performed.

I am unable to top up my Dash account by scanning my PayNow QR or by entering my PayNow VPA using my bank app. How can I ask for help?

If you’re facing issues with PayNow on your bank app, please contact your bank directly. If the issue is related to the Dash app, please contact us. Refer to dash.com.sg/contact for information.

What is the maximum amount I can top up for my Dash account?

The daily top-up limit for a verified Singtel Dash Mobile Remittance account on app versions 6.2.0 and above is up to $5,000 daily and up to $10,000 a month. For top ups using credit/ debit cards, there is a maximum top-up amount for S$500 a month. There is no limit to top up from bank accounts (via eNets ) or PayNow.

How can I top up my Dash account using a Credit/Debit card?

From Homepage > Top Up > Select ‘Credit/ Debit Card > Enter the top-up amount. You will be directed to an external website, where you will need to enter the required Credit/Debit card details like 16-digit card number and security code. You may be prompted to enter a one-time password (OTP). The Credit/Debit card has to be issued locally.

I tried to top up using my Credit/Debit card but was unable to. Why?

Credit/Debit card top-ups to Singtel Dash is applicable for Singapore-issued cards only. An error message will appear in the payment portal if you are trying to top up with a foreign-issued card. Dash does not accept top-ups via stored-value facilities (SVF), such as a Dash Visa Virtual Card to another third party account as well. If this is not the case, and if you are still experiencing top-up issues, please call us at 1800-GET-DASH (1800-438-3274) and speak to our customer service officer.

I’ve received a timeout message on the bank page after completing my payment

Some of the banks have implemented different checks after payment completion and the redirection from bank page back to Singtel Dash app might differ from bank to bank. Please click on the top left close button after you have completed your payment and the successful top-up receipt will be displayed accordingly. Your top-up transaction can also be found at the transaction history tab.

What is the maximum wallet limit for my Dash account?

With a verified Singtel Dash Mobile Remittance account on app versions 6.2.0 and above, if you are not a Work-Permit holder, the maximum wallet limit for Dash at any point in time is up to S$5,000. For Work Permit-holders with a verified Singtel Dash Mobile Remittance account, the maximum wallet limit for Dash at any point in time is up to S$3,000.

How do I top up an Overseas Prepaid Account (mobile airtime, data)?

Select 'Prepaid' on the home page of your Dash app and enter the mobile number you wish to top up or select the number from your contacts. You can currently top up numbers from Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.

How do I top up a Singtel Mobile Prepaid account?

Select 'Prepaid' on the home page of your Dash app and enter the mobile number you wish to top up or select the number from your contacts.

Is it compulsory to save a credit/debit card in Dash in order to do a top-up via credit/debit card?

No, it is not compulsory to save a credit/debit card. However, this will help save time and effort to re-enter your card details when you’re making a top-up again.

Can I save a credit/debit card in Dash without doing a top-up?

Unfortunately no, this is not available at the moment. Your credit/debit card details can only be saved upon completion of a top-up to your Dash account.

How many credit/debit cards can I save in Dash?

You can only save 1 credit/debit card at any point in time.

Who is eligible to save a credit/debit card in Dash?

All customers who are able to do a Dash top-up via credit/debit card are eligible to save a credit/debit card in Dash.

Why is there no One-Time Password (OTP) from my issuing bank when I do a top-up using my saved credit/debit card?

An OTP is only required if the credit/debit card used to do a top-up is not saved.

Will I be able to see the top-ups which I did via my saved credit/debit card in my transaction history?

Yes, all top-ups done via a credit/debit card will be reflected in your transaction history.

What should I do if my saved credit/debit card has expired?

You can either choose to (a) Save a different card or (b) Remove your saved credit/debit card which has expired.

How may I verify my Dash Account if I do not need to send money overseas (remittance)?

If you do not require Dash Remit services, you may still digitally verify your Dash account by tapping on Account > Update Details and select the appropriate option.

What do I need to verify my Dash Account if I do not need to send money overseas (remittance)?

You will need either your Singpass account or these documents ready:
